Shane is very popular among the local community, both young and old and he is constantly being sought for his greatly valued advice.

He also received the highly prestigious 2006 Irish Retail Pharmacist Contribution to the Community Award’ and has been actively involved in organising Christmas parties in aid of the Chernobyl Children’s Appeal.

Shane is a member of the local boy’s school board of management, served as President of the Edenderry Lions Club and as Chairman of the Rathangan Core Group.
